Particularly effective for Acne, Oily Skin, Sun Damage and Blemishes
- 1/2 a Tomato
- 1/2 a Lemon
- 1 tablespoon Sugar
- Cut tomato in two pieces.
- Take a lemon and cut it into half, squeeze lemon juice in a small plate.
- Add little sugar to the lemon juice.
Tomato has high levels of Vitamin C which restores skin’s youthful glow and helps in skin brightening. Tomatoes contain lycopene, an antioxidant which acts as a natural sunscreen and thus helps prevent sun damage. Tomatoes also help the skin absorb more oxygen thereby keeping skin radicals at bay. Its bleaching properties make it an effective solution to reduce sun damage/tan and lighten the skin.
Sugar is a natural exfoliator, and creates a gentle abrasion to even out the skin tone. It removes dead or damaged skin cells caused by pollution or sun exposure. It enhances blood circulation thereby increasing collagen production and skin cell regeneration. Sugar has glycolic acid which rejuvenates and helps keep the skin looking youthful and fresh. Sugar is also rich in alpha hydroxy acids, which are a potent anti-ageing compound.
