  • 1/2 cup of Yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons of Sandalwood Powder
  • 1 teaspoon of Turmeric Powder
  • 5 Almonds
  • 1/2 teaspoon of Saffron Strands
  • 7 teaspoons of Rose Water


  1. Blend some soaked almonds to form a paste.
  2. Mix and blend yogurt, saffron, turmeric, rose water and sandalwood powder with it.
  3. It should be stored in refrigeration.


Yogurt contains lactic acid, which is an alphahydroxy acid that dissolves dead skin cells. It , therefore, acts as a gentle exfoliating agent. This helps in preventing breakouts and in giving skin a natural glow. Yogurt has natural anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties which make it effective against acne, while its zinc content helps in relieving sunburn.

Almonds are a densely nutritious food containing B vitamins, Riboflavin, Niacin, and other essential minerals which provide deep nourishment to the skin. Almonds are also a rich source of fatty acids with Oleic acid and Linoleic acid constituting the majority; It is therefore readily absorbed in the skin. Almonds are naturally cleansing and help in removing impurities and dead skin cells from the surface of the skin.

Sandalwood finds innumerable uses in any natural beauty regimen. At the heart of which lies its anti-tanning property, in that it helps clear skin tanning soothe sunburns. It is also strongly antibacterial and helps combat acne and other skin ailments. Sandalwood also helps in shrinking skin pores and giving the skin a more youthful look.

Turmeric has antiseptic and antibacterial properties which help in fighting against acne breakouts, while at the same time controlling oil secretion by sebaceous glands. Studies have revealed turmeric’s antioxidant abilities wherein it can scavenge free radicals and increase antioxidant enzymes. It also gives the skin a healthy glow and makes the skin more youthful.

Saffron always finds a regular place in any skincare routine, given its antiseptic and antidepressant oxide content. In addition, it is also a rich source of many essential minerals and vitamins like magnesium, zinc, potassium, vitamin A and vitamin C which are essential for a youthful radiant skin.

Rose water is a great toner and cleanser since it helps in unclogging pores of excess dirt and oil. It also has anti-inflammatory properties that help soothe irritated skin.
